Inspiration for 'Stepping Up and Out' pieces

'Stepping Up and Out' - in Nottingham and beyond
Our new exhibition title may not be immediately speaking to you but we hope it actually opens up plenty of inspiration.
Once again we would like your inspiration to come from a local source-hence 'Nottingham and beyond' – however,
'beyond' does not mean the rest of the world! Perhaps limit to Nottinghamshire and bordering counties?
Architecture – buildings, doors, windows, roofs etc
Gardens – domestic, allotments, parks etc
Countryside – woods, field patterns, hedgerows
Town, City, Industrial and Land-Scapes
Local events – Farmers markets, Riverside Festival...

The exhibition will open at West Bridgford Library in March 2018, then 'travel' to The Quilt and Stitch Show at Uttoxeter in April.
With fewer and fewer places available, this is an opportunity to exhibit your work and gives us all a goal to work towards. If you would like to exhibit, please sign the form on the table with the workshop info. Please only submit new work which has been completed in the past year - any size, format, medium but must include stitch.

Group Piece
After the huge success of “The River”, our group piece for our last exhibition, we are hoping to repeat this with another eye-catching display! The theme is “Doors and Gates”, this followed on from the title “Stepping Up and Out”. The work will be displayed on small canvases – available to purchase for £1.
The finished work to be displayed in portrait format. This can be in any medium but must include some stitch. Further help and guidance on completing the canvases will be available at our Sew and So meetings and at future Guild meetings.
