ANNOUNCING the Guild Member Project for 2019 HOME
Following the inspiring Capability Brown exhibitions in 2016, the hugely
successful Page 17 in 2017 and, more recently, the poignant 100 Hearts
in 2018, we now announce the Guild's project for 2019 – it is entitled
“HOME”. Is HOME the place you return to at the end of each day? Do you have fond memories of a childhood home, long since left behind? Invite us in and show us, in stitch, the special memories you have of your home. Have you lived on a brightly coloured canal boat; in a high rise flat or a converted barn? Have you travelled widely - perhaps seen the favelas in Rio or the slums in Mumbai; a tree house on the beach in the Phillipines? Home should mean shelter and safety but for some it is not. And what of the natural world - a bird's nest, the river of a spawning salmon, the arctic home of the polar bear or the woodland burrow of a fox? Invite us in and tell us, in stitch, what the word HOME means to you. Find more inspiration on our webpage HOME Project 2019 |
