About Us

We are a friendly, lively and active group, formed in 1999.
Collectively, we have a wide range of skills and experience from
those who regularly exhibit their work to occasional stitchers
who like to keep abreast of what is happening in the embroidery world.

We meet once a month on alternate Saturday afternoons at
2.00p.m. and Thursday evenings at 7.00p.m., except in August,
at St. Paul’s Church Hall, West Bridgford, Nottingham.
This is a pleasant light room with plenty space for our regular
speakers and a sales table - there is ample parking.

You can be sure of a friendly welcome at our meetings, where we usually have a speaker or, twice a year, a more social meeting. Our speakers cover a wide range of topics - all types of stitch, including embroidery, quilting, beading and knitting. Several times a year, the speaker stays overnight and gives a Workshop the next day. We have a lending library of textile books and videos and some equipment and at most meetings we have a sales table.

We also have a regular meeting once a month to get together to work for the Embroiderers’ Guild Kickstart programme and exhibition.

If you have an interest in Textile Art, you are very welcome to join as a member or just visit us when you can.
